De afdeling Computer Engineering en Informatica (CEID) werd opgericht in 1979 en is een van de toonaangevende afdelingen op het gebied van computers en informatietechnologie in Griekenland. CEID heeft momenteel een faculteit van 27 leden, 20 externe docenten, 1000 niet-gegradueerde en 200 postdoctorale studenten, 13 laboratoria en een volledig uitgerust computercentrum. Het is georganiseerd in 3 divisies, namelijk Software, Hardware en Computer Science Foundations and Applications, biedt 3 postdoctorale programma’s en heeft een lange ervaring in R&D-projecten.
Gezondheidsfysica & Computational Intelligence Laboratory is een integraal onderdeel van de Universiteit van Patras, Griekenland. Haar onderzoeks- en ontwikkelingsprojecten hebben onder meer betrekking op intelligente onderwijstechnologieën, leren op afstand en levenslang leren in de omgang met beroepsbeoefenaren in de gezondheidszorg (d.w.z. fysiotherapeuten, verpleegkundigen, artsen, logopedisten).

Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus” (CTI) is a research and technology organization focusing on research and development in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Particular emphasis is placed on education, by developing and deploying conventional and digital media in education and lifelong learning; publishing printed and electronic educational materials; administrating and managing the Greek School Network; and supporting the organization and operation of the electronic infrastructure of the Greek Ministry of Education, Culture and Religious Affairs and all educational units. Hochschule 21 has been founded in 1876 and since 2005 a private and state certified university with focus on the areas of building sciences, health sciences and technological sciences. The currently offered courses at hochschule 21 are undergraduate courses with a bachelor’s degree which are all designed to be “dual”.
The dual structure opens up attractive career opportunities and leads to a lot of practical experience that deepens the acquired knowledge. Theoretical studies at hochschule 21 and work experience within a company rotate. Thus guarantee the graduates benefit from a high qualify academic education and intensive practical training.
Duality in the health sciences courses means studying at·hochschule 21 and joining a vocational training scheme at one of the training schools of the cooperating partners. More than 1.100 partners in practice are already committed to the idea of the dual program of hochschule 21. This is an excellent example for regional private public partnership. Besides, the combination of academic university education and practical experience creates highly sought experts on the market. Already about 1.100 students are registered.

The University of Cyprus (UCY) participates in DIGI4ME project through the Software Engineering and Internet Technologies (SEIT) Laboratory, an integral part of the Department of Computer Science. SEIT focuses its research activities on two important areas of Information Technology, namely Software Engineering and Internet Technologies. In the second area, the Laboratory concentrates on the development of ICT-enabled Creativity and Enhanced Learning Environments, as well as platforms and tools for implementing Smart and Personalised services for Elders and Assistive Technologies for people with disabilities.
