Patras University is one of the largest and third largest institutions in Greece. Its success is based on a strong partnership with its students and academic staff and a clear focus on high performance, enhancing UPAT’s position as a world-class university with a strong academic reputation and a commitment to excellence. It currently has over 800 faculty members, 200 members of the scientific staff, 350 members of the administrative staff and 2,742 researchers. It comprises 6 schools with 30 departments in total, offers 30 undergraduate programs, 45 postgraduate programs, 2284 digital courses and 251 open courses. The Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics (CEID) was established in 1979 and is one of the top departments in the field of Computers and Information Technology in Greece. CEID currently has a faculty of 27 members, 20 external teachers, 1,000 students and 200 postgraduate students, 13 laboratories and a fully equipped computer center. It is organized in 3 divisions, namely Foundations and applications for software, hardware and informatics, offers 3 postgraduate programs and has a long experience in research and development projects.

Health Physics & Computational Intelligence Laboratory is an integral part of the University of Patras, Greece. His research and development projects deal with, among others, smart educational technologies, distance and lifelong learning, which deal with health professionals (ex physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, speech therapists).

Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus” (CTI) is a research and technology organization focused on research and development in information and communication technologies (ICT). Particular emphasis is placed on education, through the development and implementation of conventional and digital media in education and lifelong learning; publication of printed and electronic educational materials; administration and management of the Greek school network; and supporting the organization and operation of the electronic infrastructure of the Greek Ministry of Education, Culture and Religious Affairs and all educational institutions. Since its inception in 1985 and in the last decades of rapid technological development, CTI has actively contributed to many of the advances that are taken for granted today. Hochschule 21 was founded in 1876 and has been a private and state-certified university since 2005 with a focus on the fields of construction sciences, health sciences and technological sciences. The courses currently offered at hochschule 21 are undergraduate courses with a bachelor’s degree, all of which are designed to be “dual”.

The dual structure opens up attractive career opportunities and leads to a lot of practical experience that deepens the knowledge gained. Theoretical studies at Hochschule 21 and work experience rotate within a company. So guarantee that the graduates benefit from a highly qualified academic education and intensive practical training.

Duality in health sciences means studying at hochschule 21 and participating in a vocational training program at one of the training schools of the collaborating partners. More than 1,100 partners are already committed to the idea of ​​the Hochschule 21 dual program in practice. This is a good example of regional private public partnership. Moreover, the combination of university education and practical experience creates experts in demand in the market. About 1,100 students are already enrolled.

The University of Cyprus (UCY) participates in the DIGI4ME project through the Software Engineering and Internet Technologies (SEIT) Laboratory, an integral part of the Department of Computer Science. SEIT focuses its research activities on two major areas of information technology, namely software engineering and internet technologies. In the second area, the laboratory focuses on the development of ICT-enabled creativity and enhanced learning environments, as well as platforms and tools for implementing smart and personalized services for the elderly and assistive technologies for people with disabilities. SEIT has extensive experience in applying ICT to e-Learning, m-Learning and Open and Distance Learning in general and Life Long Learning in particular. This expertise lies both at a technical level and in developing policies and qualifications frameworks for such activities. In DIGI4ME, UCY will use its extensive experience to participate in the design and development of innovative education systems, in integrating ICT in training and will play an active role in the implementation of the teaching materials, the teaching platform and the integration of courses.

The Pro Laser Foundation was founded in 1996. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to medical education and medical conferences. Our foundation organized more than 50 workshops for doctors, all our trainings were EMC approved by the Romanian College of Medicine. Our trainers are established medical professionals such as university professors, or accredited trainers with over 10 years of experience. Our main focus is on corrective dermatology, aesthetic medicine and surgery, therapeutic and surgical laser techniques and new applications. Our team also organized training in the use of medical software and applications for medical personnel.

Cyprus Association of Medical Physics and BioMeedical Engineering (CAMPBE) is an independent, non-governmental body. It is strictly a non-profit organization, using its resources solely to advance and promote the goals of the Association, with the ultimate goal of increasing knowledge and understanding in its areas of interest and thereby contributing to the improvement of healthcare. CAMPBE has a strong relationship with the Ministry of Health, the National Health Service, local hospitals and oncology centers and local universities. The members of CAMPBE participating in the project have experience and expertise in developing a national PACS system and in educating healthcare providers about medical imaging applications.
